New Group Descriptions
SAND TRAY (Ages 4-8)
Children often don't have the language to express how they are feeling, and can act out to try and feel more in-control. Therapists have been using sand tray as an intervention since the 1920's to help children resolve conflicts, solve problems, and process feelings. We'll make stories in the sand individually and together to help improve problem solving, emotional regulation, and self-control using this fun and creative method.
COMMUNITY SERVICE (Ages 13-17)
Come learn about different ways to help in your community while building perspective taking, empathy, self esteem and leadership skills. Each week we'll work on service projects together while practicing the important life skills that come from helping others. Need to earn community service hours? We can help!
Expressive Arts Expressive Arts (All Ages)
Focuses on the use of art, music, dance/movement, and poetry as a way to strengthen social and emotional development. This group will emphasize the creative process-allowing your child to express their individual personality and strengths in a supportive environment.
