Clinical Services
Some clients are referred for one-on-one therapies. For others, the social development groups and drop-in clubs meet their therapeutic needs.
Clinical services at Skills In Motion consist of a menu of therapeutic offerings that families may choose from. Our independently licensed clinicians schedule an intake appointment where we identify areas of strengths and needs, and create a plan that works for you.
After the initial consultation, we often recommend group, individual and/or family therapy, depending upon the assessed needs of and goals for your child. Because not everyone needs or wants a group setting, some clients are referred for one-on-one therapies. For others, the social development groups and drop-in clubs meet their therapeutic needs without one-on-one counseling.
All therapeutic services on the Skills in Motion continuum of care -– except the drop-in clubs –- are covered by insurance. We work with existing providers including schools, doctors, and other professionals to maintain strong relationships among our clients’ healthcare and education teams.
Our treatments are addressed in a variety of settings to include office, home, school and community. We understand that the needs and dynamics of families are ever-changing. We strive to provide a comprehensive, flexible, supportive approach from diagnosis through treatment planning and provision of services.
